Seventeen Dancers, Eight Spots, One Dream
-- all over again, this time down under... A Chorus Line
became one of Broadway's most successful shows. It won nine Tony Awards
and the 1976 Pulitzer Prize and ran for 15 years to become New York's
longest-running musical until replaced by The Phantom of the Opera.
It tells the story of 18 dancers desperately auditioning for eight roles
in a musical. The action takes place on a bare stage except for mirrors,
and without costumes as the performers tell their stories.
A
Chorus Line
will be touring Australasia in 2012.
