Engaged by Bill Kenwright in 1992/1993 as Production Supervisor to manage his London to Liverpool (Liverpool Playhouse) to Toronto (Royal Alexandra Theatre) to Broadway (Musical Box Theatre) masterpiece production of Blood Brothers by Willy Russell.
The Broadway production opened on 25 April 1993 at the Music Box Theatre and closed after 2 years on 30 April 1995 after 840 performances.
Directed by Bill Kenwright and Bob Tomson. Set & Costume design by Andy Walmsley with Lighting Design by Joe Atkins & Sound Design by Paul Astbury.
Initially starred Stephanie Lawrence as Mrs. Johnstone, Warwick Evans as the narrator, Con O’Neill as Mickey, Mark Michael Hutchinson as Eddie & Jan Graveson as Linda. Other cast included Ivar Brogger, Kerry Butler, James Clow, Robin Haynes, Philip Lehl, Regina O’Malley, Sam Samuelson, John Schiappa, Anne Torsiglieri, Barbara Walsh & Douglas Weston. Later, cast replacements included Petula Clark making her Broadway debut as Mrs. Johnstone, with David and Shaun Cassidy as her sons. Regina O’Malley, Carole King & Helen Reddy replaced Petula Clark later in the Broadway run.
